Speaking in Tongues!!
Acts 2:38:
"And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."
1 Corinthians 14:2:
"For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries."
Speaking in tongues is a spiritual weapon. Helping you against the enemy's attack!! You don't understand and the devil also don't understand what you are saying. Only God knows what you are saying. It is also a way to worship God and prayer and has power. By speaking in tongues it opens Heaven's door!! It is so important to speak in tongues everyday, it will help you in every situation you find yourself. Paul writes "We are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places." and "Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion." By speaking in tongues you can overcome the devil's attacks!!
To be a disciple for Christ!!
Matthew 28:19-20:
"Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
Luke 9:23:
"Then he said to the crowd, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross daily, and follow me."
Matthew 4:19-20:
"And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” Immediately they left their nets and followed him."
Matthew 10:22:
"And you will be hated by all for my name's sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved."
Matthew 19:29:
"And everyone who has given up houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or property, for my sake, will receive a hundred times as much in return and will inherit eternal life"
To be a disciple for Christ, you have to give up your life to follow Him. You will face difficulties because of His Name. Are you willing to take the risk and follow Him or are you going to play safe and stay in your comfortable zone. To follow Jesus means persecution by friends, family, governments and more groups. It also means to give everything up for Him like jobs, family, property, children and more, but Jesus said "And everyone who has given up houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or property, for my sake, will receive a hundred times as much in return and will inherit eternal life" Are you willing ........to stand up for Jesus, to follow Him and obey Him wherever you go? Are you willing to leave everything behind to follow Him no matter what? Like the disciples... when Jesus told His disciples to follow Him, they left behind their boats, nets, a father, fish and their income!! Are you willing to follow Jesus no matter what the consequences??
