Why Christmas: Part 3: Love!!

Christmas is all about love.  God loved the world so much that is why He gave us His one and only Son so that we can have an abundand life. John 3:16-17: “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him." Jesus Christ is the love gift from God.  Jesus laid down His own life for you and me.  Romans 5:8: "But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." We celebrate Jesus' birth with love, hope, peace and joy! God loves us very much.  That is why He called us His children. We are His sons and daughters.  Because of Jesus we can have a relationship with our heavenly Father.  1 John 3:1: "See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him."  1 John 4:10: "This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins." Jesus has the victory over the enemy, the devil.  Jesus became human so that we can become sons or daughters of God.  Sin has no control over us anymore.  We are free from sin.  Because God loves us, He sent His one and only Son Jesus Christ.  2 Corinthians 6:18: "And I will be your Father, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.” God is Love.  Because of His love, He sent His one and only Son to die for us on the cross.  It is the biggest Love gift ever the world has seen.  Let us rejoice and be glad and praise God!!
