1. "Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established."
2. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones."
3. "And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind."
4. "And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him."
5. "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded."
6. "Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts. Again I say, don’t get involved in foolish, ignorant arguments that only start fights. A servant of the Lord must not quarrel but must be kind to everyone, be able to teach, and be patient with difficult people. Gently instruct those who oppose the truth. Perhaps God will change those people’s hearts, and they will learn the truth. Then they will come to their senses and escape from the devil’s trap. For they have been held captive by him to do whatever he wants."
7. "Make me to know your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths."
8. "Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act."
9. "And even when you ask, you don’t get it because your motives are all wrong—you want only what will give you pleasure."
10. "Teach me to do your will, for you are my God! Let your good Spirit lead me on level ground!"
11. "In view of all this, make every effort to respond to God’s promises. Supplement your faith with a generous provision of moral excellence, and moral excellence with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with patient endurance, and patient endurance with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love for everyone. The more you grow like this, the more productive and useful you will be in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ."
