Walk in love because God is Love!! And Baptism!!

Walk in love because God is Love!!

1 Corinthians 13:13:

"And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love."

1 John 4:7:

"Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God."

1 John 4:16:

"And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them."

As a born again believer you must walk in love because God is love!! Love is kind, patient, gentle.  The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.  There is no fear, hatred, jealousy in love!!  Love always protects, trusts, hopes, perseveres! Love is not selfish.  We are not here on earth to live for ourselves but to help others in need, to bless them.  We must walk in love as Christ loved us.  He gave up His life for me and you, so we also must give up our lifes for each other!!  The greatest command is to love God with everything in you and the second greatest command is love your neighbour as yourself!! We don not belong to this world so we don't love the worldly things. We belong to the Kingdom of God now, so we love the heavenly things and we will obey Jesus's command "love each other as I have loved you"!!

Baptism!!

Matthew 28:19:

"Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit."

Acts 2:38:

"And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."

It is very important when you repent and you gave your life to Jesus, to be baptized in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.  Jesus commanded us to go and make disciples, and baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.  Not as a baby but as a adult.  Babies cannot repent.  You enter the water as a old person with sin, when you came out of the water you are a new person.  Your sin has been washed away.  You are a new creation now.  You are no longer called a sinner but a son/daughter of God!! When you are a born again, you will obey Jesus's commands at all times!! After baptizing you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.....Speaking in tongues!! It is a powerful spiritual weapon against the devil!! Be baptized!!

Jesus commands us to...!!

4.  Matthew 10:

1.  “Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal.  Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal.  Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be."

2.  “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need."

3.  “Do not judge others, and you will not be judged.  For you will be treated as you treat others. The standard you use in judging is the standard by which you will be judged. And why worry about a speck in your friend’s eye when you have a log in your own?"

4.  “Don’t waste what is holy on people who are unholy.  Don’t throw your pearls to pigs! They will trample the pearls, then turn and attack you.”

5.  “Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.  For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.”

6.  “Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets.”

7.  "You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way.  But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it."

8.  “Beware of false prophets who come disguised as harmless sheep but are really vicious wolves.  You can identify them by their fruit, that is, by the way they act. Can you pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?  A good tree produces good fruit, and a bad tree produces bad fruit."

9.  “He said to his disciples, “The harvest is great, but the workers are few.  So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.”

10.  "Look, I am sending you out as sheep among wolves. So be as shrewd as snakes and harmless as doves."

11.  “Don’t be afraid of those who want to kill your body; they cannot touch your soul. Fear only God, who can destroy both soul and body in hell."
